1.1 The Renaming of the Classical Types (1a–1c)

The established theory of structural dissociation (van der Hart, Nijenhuis, Steele) distinguishes three stages: primary, secondary, and tertiary structural dissociation. These historical designations have been consistently renamed in the WA Corpus as Type 1a, Type 1b, and Type 1c.

This renaming is deliberate. It creates a uniform nomenclature in which the classical types are summarized as a family under the umbrella term "Type 1" – parallel to the new "Type 2". Without this renaming, the extension would read: "primary, secondary, tertiary, and Type 2" – a mixture of ordinal numbers and a type abbreviation that would be neither consistent nor connectable. The renaming is therefore a terminological harmonization with respect to the original, not a substantive deviation.

Type 2α is the more parsimonious basic model. It assumes that the traumatic material remains with the primary consciousness but is blocked there. There is no independent emotional personality part (EP) – only two streams of consciousness, one of which suppresses the other.

All phenomena documented in the case of Yenifer/Yenny can be represented with this model, without any additional, unobservable entity being assumed. However, the retrospective matrix from WAA-015 shows that 2α provides the most elegant explanation for only a minority of individual phenomena (1 of 26 phenomena); for the others, it is sufficient but not the most specific. The advantage of 2α lies not in greater explanatory power but in greater parsimony.

Type 2β is the phenomenologically more adequate variant for specific phenomena. It additionally assumes an independent emotional personality part (EP) in which the traumatic affects are stored. The primary consciousness in this model carries only the narrative memories and the normal affects.

The matrix from WAA-015 shows that 2β provides the more elegant explanation for 12 of 26 phenomena – especially for the foreignness of the affects ("demons"), the abrupt stylistic breaks in digital communication, the targeted blockade of specific emotional contents (color red), the extraordinary intensity of resonance in Tobias, and the metaphorical density in the midst of incipient dissociation. Since such an EP has not been directly observed in the case of Yenifer/Yenny, however, this model remains a working hypothesis – parallel to 2α, not replacing it.

Type 2γ is an extrapolation of Type 2β (analogous to Type 1c). It assumes that different traumatic affects are stored in different compartments – that is, several EPs. To date there are no indications whatsoever in the case of Yenifer/Yenny for the presence of such EPs. The model remains a theoretical marginal note.

From Type 2δ onward, the model leaves the ground of clinical observation. These subtypes are thought experiments: they ask what happens when the primary consciousness is not only blocked but permanently destroyed. They serve boundary determination – not diagnosis.

- Type 2δ (Définitif) – The primary consciousness is destroyed or extremely blocked; the secondary consciousness remains intact; the body is intact. Not an event, but a point of decision. The diagnosis would be a positing, not a discovery.

- Type 2ε₁ (The Empty Shell) – Arisen from Type 2α. The secondary consciousness becomes a pure, affectless executive system without emotional or biographical content.

- Type 2ε₂ (The Inherited Pain) – Arisen from Type 2β/γ. The secondary consciousness becomes the bearer of imported traumatic affects for which it has no narrative explanation.

These configurations are not a component of the case, but markings of the outermost horizon of the conceivable. To formulate them serves self-assurance: the model knows where its observational boundary runs.

Two document circles flank the Type 2 model and mark its edges: the G Block (Volume 13) shows why a new type was needed at all; the N Block (Volume 20) asks in a thought experiment how far the extension could reach if the primary consciousness permanently disappears.

6.1 The G Block (Volume 13) – The Limits of the Classical Models

The G Block collects analyses that show why the classical models of structural dissociation (Type 1a–1c) cannot sufficiently explain the case of Yenifer/Yenny. It is thus the negative foil from which the necessity of a new type arises.

Three documents are central:

- WAG-005 – From emotional to structural dissociation: the diagnostic paradigm shift. Shows that the distinction between emotional and structural dissociation does not suffice for the case.

- WAG-010 – The limits of the theory of structural dissociation in the case of Yenifer/Yenny: Sets out that the coexistence assumption of the classical types (side by side, switchability) does not represent the case.

- WAG-900 – Beyond the existing models: integrative synthesis and the cybernetic necessity of Type 2. Summarizes why the inverted hierarchy is structurally new and cannot be read as a subvariant of an existing type.

6.2 The N Block (Volume 20) – The Thought Experiment

The N Block is the positive boundary determination. In over two hundred questions, it presents the consequences of the assumption that the primary consciousness has permanently disappeared. It is expressly not a component of the case, but a hypothetical horizon – a self-assurance of the model about its own limits.

The questions of the N Block are arranged in blocks:
